Rozlyn at 5 months!

Rozlyn is getting more and more interactive both physically and socially.  She is rolling over both ways now with ease, though she prefers to spend most of her time laying on her belly, propped up on her elbows, looking around (like the Cobra yoga pose).  Rozlyn is more curious and observant of her surroundings too.  Her toys provide entertainment, though it may be short-lived until she just wants to put the toy in her mouth.  She is grabbing onto anything and everything in her reach.  She is especially intrigued by watching us eat and drink.  If you're not careful, she will grab your cup right out of your hands and help herself.  Thus, she got her first sippy cup to indulge in.

Rozlyn is a rambling girl.  She babbles on and on and on with her coos and ahs to anyone who will listen. A few weeks ago she started making consonants sounds too.... gagaga....dadadada.  We got really excited and started teaching her "Hi daddy", which sounds like "ay dadadadada". Her little voice is so sweet and heart warming!

This month she really started getting good nights' sleep!  It's amazing how a whole night of uninterrupted sleep changed from the expected to something that is treasured once a baby enters your life.

Summer Days

This summer has been flying by, but we have been taking advatage of it to the fullest!  Most of our weekends thus far have been spent up North at the McGregor cabin.  We have had an extra special treat to have the Hermanson family at the cabin for the whole month of July before they made their venture out to sunny Californ-i-a.
It's a whole new experience with all the kiddos at the lake... a lot more busy and so fun to watch these little ones play and grow into their own.

Rozlyn is 4 Months!

Has it really been 4 months already since Rozlyn came into this world?  Incredible.  She has changed so much within that time.  I think that one of the biggest change now is that she discovered her voice.  She babbles all the time.  She is also experimenting with how high her pitch can go.  It so fun to watch her, knowing that she is constantly learning new things about herself and her surroundings.

Rozlyn is now grasping things and keeping a strong hold. (Now I understand why so many moms opt for a shorter hair style.) She is interacting more in playtime, holding her toys, putting everything in her mouth and giggling at our silly faces and songs. Other tricks she likes to do  is blow raspberries with ther mouth and roll over. She brings so much joy to our little family!  Scott and I are loving being parents and are so thankful and gracious for such a healthy, beautiful daughter.

We had her 4 month check-up and the doctor has absolutely no concerns. Rozlyn is growing and developing as expected.  She now weighs 14lbs 13oz and is 25 inches tall, which puts her above the 75th percentile for both.
Full of smiles and giggles!

Our Girl is 3 Months

It's already been 3 months.  I'm back at work full time and Rozlyn spends her days now at daycare.  She is going to a in-home daycare with three other little girls and is acclimating very well to the change. Taking after her daddy, she doesn't nap as much cuz she doesn't want to miss any of the action.  But I'm fine with that since she's making up for the sleep at night!
Rozlyn is an exceptionally strong little girl.  She has quite the grip, has been holding her head up since 2 weeks, and loves to stand on her sumo legs.  Her favorite things are getting her diaper changed (loves bare-bottom time!), kicking her legs, staring at faces, and listening to songs.
These smiles melt my heart

Rozlyn loves to lay back and kick her legs

Kitty Micah has done so well with Rozlyn. Whenever we sit down, he wants to join us.  We have many group naps this way.

Each month we are measuring her growth in this chair.  Still a little peanut.

Rozlyn went for her first swim in our pool at the end of June... and LOVED it! We hold her and she kicked her little legs around in the water. She just gets mezmoried with the feeling of water.
