Our Girl is 3 Months

It's already been 3 months.  I'm back at work full time and Rozlyn spends her days now at daycare.  She is going to a in-home daycare with three other little girls and is acclimating very well to the change. Taking after her daddy, she doesn't nap as much cuz she doesn't want to miss any of the action.  But I'm fine with that since she's making up for the sleep at night!
Rozlyn is an exceptionally strong little girl.  She has quite the grip, has been holding her head up since 2 weeks, and loves to stand on her sumo legs.  Her favorite things are getting her diaper changed (loves bare-bottom time!), kicking her legs, staring at faces, and listening to songs.

Kitty Micah has done so well with Rozlyn. Whenever we sit down, he wants to join us.  We have many group naps this way.

Rozlyn went for her first swim in our pool at the end of June... and LOVED it! We hold her and she kicked her little legs around in the water. She just gets mezmoried with the feeling of water.

2 Months

Our little Rozlyn is growing like a weed.  She had her 2 month doctor appointment in May and checked out just perfectly.  She weighed in at 11lbs 7oz, was 23 inches long and got all her shots.  At 6 weeks she started showing off her smile a lot, which is so fun and rewarding. Her smile is so contagious!
 She is such a cuddler too; her favorite place is in some one's arms snuggling on their shoulder.  We spend much of our days cuddling, going on walks, and her kicking on the floor while taking in all of her surroundings.  Here she is...

Memorial Day

This Memorial Day weekend marked Rozlyn's first of many visits to the cabin. Though it was a chilly and rainy outside, we were still able to get a lot of work done inside on the new cabin and get plenty of great family time!  On Friday we celebrated Will's (Bumpa) birthday. It is such a treat to be able to get together with the family and have little kiddos around to play with.  It is so fun to watch them interact with each other.  They are going to grow up to be great playmates.

Our Promise

May 17th was an important day for Rozlyn and for both Scott and me as parents. That Sunday morning we dedicated Rozlyn to Christ in the Child Dedication service at Grace Church. With this dedication, Scott and I made a promise to God to raise Rozlyn in ways that will honor Him. 

We were happy to share this occasion with close family in town.

A Party for Rozlyn

Saturday, May 14

This cold Saturday afternoon was spent with warm company celebrating our little girl.  My girlfriend Katie threw a charming, pink-filled baby shower for me. Even the champagne spritzer was pink! Family and closest friends shared a delicious lunch and many laughs over games, gift opening, and watching the kiddos interact.  Rozlyn had some of her playmates there as well: her cousins, Gwennie and Callan and her friend Maddie.  Even though she hasn't reached the playing stage, there was definite eye contact exchanged!
